The last seven years I have housesat with my husband Charles, who is from this area.We want to housesit in your region. We also have great references (character references as we have not yet housesat in the Black Hills area) via proprietors, professionals and local people who we are friends with for the last seven years. We wish to be in your area a month to six weeks, thus two week housesits are probably the minimum we'd consider. Both of us are artists. I also write.
Rates: Rates depend on the amount of work that is required to maintain your property while you are away. If there is minimal care needed, there would be minimal cost or possibly no cost. I garden (we both do) and Charles is super handy and can fix/complete small projects while you are gone if that's something of interest. We are highly respectful of what is the home of another and if there are animals, we are kind and will love them in a way that will help them to not miss you so terribly when you aren't with them.
